Dieter Kochan
Dieter has been bowhunting public land for over 30 years. Forced to adopt a very mobile style from day one. Dieter was one of the early saddle hunters and has been utilizing a saddle system for the last 18 years. During that time, he has tested his skills in a variety of environments and has harvested public land bucks in NY, CT, MA, ND, WI and MI. Currently residing in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Dieter has been able to consistently locate and harvest mature bucks in the vast big woods setting of the Upper Peninsula. Professionally, Dieter is a K9 handler with the Michigan State Police. Working with and training dogs to track and locate humans. This understanding of human odor and how it moves through wooded environments, gives him a unique perspective of how odor relates to the challenges of bowhunting.
